Kithood
When Dirtpaw was born he had a father, Goldeneyes, and mother, Rockpelt, and brother, Tallkit, and a stillborn sister, whom his parents could not bear to leave unnamed and therefore named Fallenkit, since she had fallen from life before her time. He was very happy. He was always upbeat, or tried to be anyway. He hated being sad, and did not understand why the others kits loved to play fight. He saw no point in fighting, all it caused was pain. Though, what might have scared him off of fighting, was that when he was about 3 moons old, his father had to go defend the territory. He never came back alive. Goldeneyes had been a good father, loving and willing to take time and play with his boys. Dirtpaw missed him. So did Tallkit. They did not understand why their father was so still. Of course, Dirtpaw had never been interested in fighting. He thought it was silly. Of course, he still could not wait to become an apprentice.
Apprentice Hood
When Dirtpaw was finally six moons old he was ecstatic He was finally ready to be an apprentice. He,of course, was apprenticed to Downyfeather. Downyfeather was the most sensible and calm cat in the clan, and would do well with happy little Dirtpaw. Dirtpaw was a wonderful hunter. He caught a mouse on his first try, and rarely misses now. Fighting was a different matter. Downyfeather struggled to get him to practice fighting, let along being any good. Finally, the wise old cat told Dirtpaw "Your too friendly to fight, so stop being you in battle" Dirtpaw had no clue what this meant and told his mentor so. Downyfeather replied. "If I told you it would not work." And left. Training fell short for Dirtpaw for a bit, since his mentor told him he could not resume learning fighting until he found out what he had meant. After careful thought. Dirtpaw told Downyfeather he was ready.
The first time they tried out the technique, the mentor-apprentice pair they had been working with were shocked. The friendly, happy little apprentice they knew had disappeared. In his place was one of the cats from before the clans, when every piece of food was fought over. He had no mercy and, if claws had been allowed, would have pulverized the other apprentice.
Unfortunately, Downyfeather caught greencough a little while later, died, and Dirtpaw is now with a new mentor

Almost everything
Dislikes:
Fighting
Being unhappy
Fears:
Killing someone while fighting
Personality:
Happy
Now, you might say "This is not a personality trait, it is an emotion" and I would agree with you, in most cases. I have to put this because though it may not be a trait, Dirtpaw normally is quite a happy camper. He is KNOWN for being happy. In fact, he likes being happy so much, that being unhappy bugs him so much he has to find a way to cheer himself up. He loves to make others happy, so they can join him in happiness, since it is a lot more fun there than anywhere else. He even gets slightly comfortable around closed up cats, since he cannot tell if they are happy or not.
Friendly
Dirtpaw is one of those cats that stuck up ones refer to as "the kit that never grew up." He really DID grow up, he just desired to keep some kit traits. One of which is the kits ability to make friends with a rock, butterfly, or anything else that happens to be around. He can walk up to anyone or anything and try to befriend it. Nothing stops him, though he can take a hint. If you REALLY don't what to be friends, he will pad away, but will make sure you know how upsetting it is.
Calm
Mind you, this is only when he is alone. He is far too happy around other cats to be calm around them, but once he is alone, he quickly settles down very quickly. Almost no one knows that he CAN be calm, since the only way he can keep himself like that around other cats is if he was calm and only one cat came up to him. Even then he is not as calm as he is when he is alone though.
In battle
Dirtpaw, as you would think, is far too friendly to be good in a battle. And yet, he is very good. He used to be horrible at battles. That lasted until his mentor told him "Your too friendly to fight, so stop being you in battle" It took him time to understand, but when he did, he became the best fighter in his group. Now, he is not a natural fighter, and he is not the normal, he was the best fighter, he was simply very good. He will drop all emotion and will fight like cats did before the clans were made. He only does that for as long as there are enemy cats to fight though. Cats have said to have looked back on a battle after being beaten by him, and seen him throwing up, having been horrified at what he had done.
With She-cats
Dirtpaw freaks out if he thinks about being mate with someone. He does not know what to expect.
