The ranks which every clan uses.
Leader
The leader of the Clan rules the Clan; leader's word is law. Of course, there are the occasional lawbreakers... A leader must make decisions for the Clan, as well as representing the Clan at gatherings. A leader can communicate with MoonClan, and are rewarded with nine lives and a name that ends in star when they become leader. They must perform various ceremonies and train apprentices if they have one.
Deputy
The deputy is second in command to the leader, and organizes patrols and hunting parties, as well as any other duties assigned by the leader. There is only one deputy. They help their leader and advise them in making discussions. A female deputy CAN have kits. A deputy is chosen by the leader, and their predecessor if the leader falls. Warriors must have trained at least one apprentice before they can be appointed deputy.
Medicine Cat
There is a maximum of one Medicine cat per Clan. Medicine cats communicate with MoonClan, usually through dreams or omens only they can interpret. They are expected to heal other cats, and train their apprentices if they have one. Medicine cats can not have kits or mates. Leaders also look to medicine cats for advice and guidence sometimes.
Medicine Cat Apprentice
There is only one medicine cat apprentice at a time. They are training to become a medicine cat. Their responsibilities include listening to the older cats, their mentor, the medicine cat, gathering/collecting/finding healing herbs, and helping to heal the cats of the Clans. Medicine cat apprentices, like medicine cats, are forbidden to have mates or kits. In Eternity Clans history, though, the law about mates has been broken. Sometimes MoonClan sends them messages and omens, but such honors are usually reserved for fully fledged medicine cats.
Elder
Elders are the cats who are in some way incapable of taking care of themselves well and provide for the clan. They are responsible for providing information to their leader based off of past experiences and knowledge. Elders often tell kits stories to keep the occupied.
Queen
Queens are she-cats(females) who are expecting or caring for, a litter of kits. Some cats however, choose to stay in the nursery to help younger queens and care for kits. The queen's responsibilities include caring for their litter, as well as other kits in the nursery. Most queens will return to warrior status when their kits are apprenticed (7 moons or 7 months.) Queens are only expected to defend camp in the most desperate situations, and are usually spared by offensive warriors. Warriors in the same clan as them will do their best to protect queens, elders, and kits from danger first, so queens rarely have to battle.
Mentor
Mentors are warriors who have been appointed the honor of training an apprentice. They are responsible for training their apprentices, as well as their usual warrior duties. Female mentors are not supposed to have kits; as it interrupts apprentice training. Mentors return to warrior status when they deem their apprentice ready to become a warrior (11 moons, or 11 months). If a mentor does not deem their apprentice ready, then they will continue their training even after an apprentice has reached 11 moons.
Senior Warrior
Senior warriors are older, more respected warriors who are sometimes called on to advise the leader and/or deputy. They have the same responsibilities as warriors. Senior warriors often have more of a chance at being given apprentices and becoming a mentor.
Warrior
Warriors make up the bulk of the Clan. There rank is reserved for cats 11+ moons(11+ months), who have proved themselves worthy through apprentice training. They're responsible for defending their clan's territory, hunting for the Clan, and patrolling. They will also take on any task that the Clan needs done when no other rank can do it.
Apprentice
Apprentice rank is reserved for cats 7-10 moons(7-10 months) old. Apprentices are in training to become warriors. They are expected to listen to older cats and obey their mentors. Their responsibilities include going on patrols with there mentors, getting fresh-kill, training, and defending the camp as well as caring for the elders. Apprentices are forbidden to have kits.
Kit
Kits are the youngest rank and is reserved for kittens between the age of 1-6 moons(1-6 months). They have no privileges or restrictions and are expected to listen to all the older cats. They remain in the nursery most of the day.
